Georgia Burashko

Canadian mezzo-soprano Georgia Burashko is widely recognized for her “full-bodied, velvety” voice and “nuanced” interpretations (Olyrix). MYSCENA has described her as being “blessed with a unique, burnished tone quality that is instantly recognizable,” qualities that underpinperformances noted for their balance of vocal power and emotional depth. Particularly active in early and Baroque repertoire, she has collaborated with leading conductors including William Christie, Paul Agnew, Nicholas McGegan, Jeannette Sorrell, Shunske Sato, and MasatoSuzuki, and appears frequently as a soloist with ensembles such as Les Arts Florissants and the Netherlands Bach Society.

Her work has taken her to major international venues including Teatro alla Scala, the Opéra Royal de Versailles, Lincoln Center, and the Royal Albert Hall for the BBC Proms, as well as the Paris Philharmonie, Tanglewood, Muziekgebouw Amsterdam, and Koerner Hall. Alongside her concert and operatic work, she maintains a strong commitment to recital and creative projects.
